We're equipped to handle materials in a variety of different forms, including sheet metal, forgings, castings, bar stock, plate, tubing, extrusions, architectural materials, composites, and more. We regularly work with the materials listed below and can also accommodate specialty metals and other advanced materials.
The media we use for each job is carefully selected to match customer requirements and meet stringent aerospace and industrial quality specifications. Where appropriate, we use renewable "green" media such as walnut shells, peach pits, corncobs, and recycled plastic. This environmentally friendly media delivers an outstanding surface treatment while helping to reduce environmental waste and energy consumption. Depending on the application, many types of media can be re-used multiple times, reducing waste and making media blasting more economical. The media we use does not pose environmental problems during use or disposal.
For aerospace applications that demand highly precise surface treatments and high RMS consistency, we offer virgin and certified blasting and peening media. We also work closely with our customers and suppliers on new applications and proprietary surface treatment processes.
